It has been said, ‘O believers! When the call to prayer is made on Friday, then hurry to sell and stop selling, so that you may understand.
When the prayer is finished, prostrate on the earth and seek of the great bounty (of Allah) and discuss more, that you may be successful’ (Surah: Jumu’ah, Verses: 9-10)

From Abu Lu bin Abdul Munjir (RA), the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) mentioned five characteristics of Friday in a hadith. In full— One. Allah Almighty followed this Adam (AS). Two. Allah Almighty made this holy Adam (AS) descend to the earth.
Three. This child Adam (a.s.) is a Brahmin. Four. This child is like that, when the servant will pray to know he is a time. As long as he does not pray for something forbidden. Five. This new Hour will occur.
’ (Ibn Majah, Hadith: 895)
Friday Prayer specialy dua for jumma day
From the Persian group, Ras (s.a.w.a.) said, ‘Whoever takes a bath on Friday, achieves the truth as much as he can, uses oil, uses perfume from the house, then comes to the mosque, there in Musa. Decide not to go quickly, prays the specified prayer, then the Imam should start talking; then Allah Ta’ala will forgive his sins between the two Fridays.’ (Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 883)
In another hadith (from Abu Hurayrah.), Rasulullah (s.a.w.a.) said, ‘Five. The timed prayer, from one Friday to the next, from one Ramadan to the next, expiates the sins of the intervening months; if that person is safe from all major sins.’ (Muslim, Hadith: 233)
- Taking a bath on Friday
Taking a bath on Friday and going to the mosque early is a very good deed. From Aus bin Akafi (may Allah have mercy on him), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, ‘Whoever takes a bath well, goes to the mosque early and listens to the sermon (of the Imam) for a long time, for every step he takes will be the reward of fasting and praying for the past year.’ (Abu Dawud, Hadith: 345)
- Finding someone in the mosque
Finding someone in the mosque early on Friday and knowing the good news has special significance.
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, ‘Whoever takes a bath on Friday and then goes to the mosque early has made a sacrifice. The one who said, he sacrificed a cow. And the one who stepped on me, he sacrificed my goat, and the one who stepped on me, he sacrificed my chicken, and the one who stepped on him, he laid an egg. Then when the Imam comes to deliver the sermon, the angels start discussing.’ (Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 841)
- Dua for jumma day is accepted on Friday
There is a time on Friday when people ask for something. Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, ‘Supplicate to something good on Friday. Seek the time after ‘Asr.’ (Abu Dawud, Hadith No.: 1048)

Jabir ibn Abd al-Nathi (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, ‘There is a time in the twelve hours of Friday when a group of people. If they ask Him for something at that time, the Almighty and the Most High will grant it to them. Seek this moment at the end of Asr. (Abu Dawud, Hadith: 1048)
- Reciting Surah Kahf is part of dua for jumma day
Reciting Surah Kahf on Fridays. Abu Saeed Al-Khuri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, ‘The Friday on which Surah Kahf is recited will be a light for him between the two Fridays. And whoever recites the last verse of this Surah and then the Dajjal appears, he will not be harmed.’ (Sahih Targhib, Hadith: 1473, Mustadrak: 2/399)
- Sins are forgiven by do dua for jumma day
From the Persian meaning, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, ‘Whoever takes a bath on Friday, uses oil as much as he can, uses perfume from his home, then comes to the mosque, there is a gap between the worshippers, the person should move forward a little, the prescribed prayer should be offered, then the Imam should start speaking; Then Allah will forgive the sins between the two Fridays.’ (Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 883)
- Reciting Durood is part of dua for jumma day
It is obligatory to send more Durood upon the Prophet (peace be upon him) on Friday. It was narrated from Aws bin Abi Aws (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, ‘The best of your days is Friday. This is the day on which Adam (peace be upon him) was taken out.
On this day he passed away. This is the day on which the trumpet will be blown and this is the day on which the poet will be raised. So, send more Durood upon me. The companions said, ‘We should send our Durood upon you, will your body ever be exhausted?’ He said, ‘Allah has consumed my body for the sake of the earth.’ (Abu Dawud, Hadith: 1047)
